Protective Window Film For Whitney Museum
The new Whitney Museum of American Art, situated in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, is as much a masterpiece as the vast collection of American Art exhibited throughout the expansive gallery spaces.
Guardian Bastille was commissioned by the Whitney to develop a window film solution that would reduce potentially harmful visible light and solar heat gain without altering the non-reflective aesthetic of the large gallery windows. Maintaining picturesque vistas of the New York City Skyline and the Hudson River from the gallery floors — while retaining the views into the museum from the open-air terraces — were essential factors in choosing the right window film solution for the Whitney. Guardian Bastille was able to successfully guide the Whitney team through the window film selection process. The perfect non-reflective window film solution was identified to meet their needs.
The final result has been the perfect complement to a world-class architectural structure – meeting the stringent demands of the conservation and curatorial staffs along the way!
