Case Study: JM Family Enterprises – Deerfield Beach, Florida

At the JM Family / JM Moran Automotive Group’s new state-of-the-art corporate campus in Deerfield Beach, a smaller automotive tinting company found themselves in a tough situation.
The wrong glass had been ordered — small-missile impact instead of large-missile impact glazing, which is required to meet the Florida Building Code and Miami-Dade County hurricane standards. Replacing the custom electrochromic Smart Glass would have cost millions.
Guardian Bastille was brought in to help engineer and execute a compliant retrofit. Working closely with the new general contractor, the team helped develop and install a fully tested 14-mil security film system with a four-sided batten bar perimeter attachment to achieve large-missile impact compliance.
