JM Family Enterprises Headquarters – Deerfield Beach, FL
At JM Family Enterprises’ corporate headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Guardian Bastille installed over 30,000 square feet of 14 Mil Solar Gard Armorcoat Security Window Film to meet Florida’s large missile impact requirements. The project began after a glazing contractor mistakenly ordered small missile impact glass for lower floors, which did not meet local hurricane code. Instead of replacing millions of dollars in glass, Guardian Bastille and the glazing contractor successfully tested and approved a retrofit solution using Armorcoat film. The installation required the film to be folded over all four edges of the glass and secured with metal batten bars and reinforced screws, ensuring compliance, safety, and significant cost savings.
